News : Eternal Rest announce “Prophetic” launch tour
Despite only being relatively young, Brisbane-based death metallers Eternal Rest have already shared the stage with artists including Unearth (USA), The Black Dahlia Murder (USA), Ulcerate (NZ), Sybreed (Switzerland) and Guttermouth (USA), and with their debut full length Prophetic nearing release, they’re about to prove why.
The album, recorded and mixed by Joe Haley of Psycroptic, draws influence from Immolation, Martyrs and Gorod, resulting in a sound that is “equal parts crushing and ferocious, maintaining a level of musicianship that should be applauded in a scene that’s been saturated with technical nightmares and slow-plodding meh”.
Prophetic is due out in early 2013 through Deepsend Records, with pre-order info becoming available in January. That same month, the band are hitting the road to showcase the release. Be sure to catch them on one of the following dates.
Jan 19th – Cornucopia Hotel AA Wallaroo SA
Jan 20th – Cavern Club AA Adelaide SA
Jan 24th – Surfers Beergarden 18+ Gold Coast QLD
Jan 25th – Crowbar 18+ Brisbane QLD
Jan 26th – Norville Hotel 18+ Toowoomba QLD
Feb 8th – Gasometer Hotel 18+ Melbourne VIC
Feb 9th – Ha’Penny Bridge 18+ Frankston VIC
