News : Did Doro Pesch just hint an upcoming Australian tour?

By on January 27, 2020

Doro (Pesch), a name that has become synonymous with heavy metal over the past three and half decades, and dubbed by many as the “Queen of Heavy Metal” recently hinted some exciting news regarding a potential Australian tour via her official Facebook band page.

No official dates have been announced or confirmed for Australia as yet, however, Doro did specifically mention Australia and South America would get tour dates this year, as she confirmed her excitement to perform at this year’s Monsters of Rock Crusie in Miami in the video.

Doro’s current touring schedule is pretty packed with dates far-reaching into November this year. Again, no Australian dates have been confirmed on Doro’s official website as yet, but going by the upload of the video on Facebook, Doro did mention potential dates would be announced in the coming week. The Facebook video was uploaded on Monday, 20th January so we can only assume Australian tour dates will be announced this week. Wishful thinking, we know. Either way, we’re pretty excited to hear this news.

Doro is no stranger to Australia as she’s toured here in 2003, plus toured Japan in 2010 with Sydney’s LORD (formally Dungeon). Stay tuned to Metal Obsession for more details as they become available.

Doro is currently promoting “Forever Warriors / Forever United” now available via Nuclear Blast Records.
