Download Festival Australia has officially locked in dates for March 2020 in both Melbourne and Sydney, marking the third instalment of the festival in Australia.

Download Festival debuted in Melbourne, Australia in March 2018, marking its annual fixture to the heavy metal calendar with the likes of Amon Amarth, King Parrot, Sabaton, Gojira and Mastodon, among a slew of other international and local acts performing. In 2019, Download Festival returned to Melbourne’s Showgrounds and made its debut in Sydney at Parramatta Park with Judas Priest, Alien Weaponry, Thy Art Is Murder, Airbourne and Slayer performing, among others.

The first line-up announcement for Download Festival Australia 2020 will be launched to the public on Wednesday, 6th November 2019 at 8:30am AEDT. No word of who will be the headliners, as only speculation and rumours are abound.
