By on February 23, 2019

After nearly a decade fronting Melbourne’s hard rock mainstay, Jake Wiffen has officially announced his departure from Dead City Ruins following an extensive tour schedule across Europe and Australia in 2018.

However, this is not the end for Dead City Ruins, as many who attended the band’s recent local shows supporting Living Colour would have no doubt seen a notable change in the band’s lineup.

The band wasted no time sourcing a suitable replacement for Jake with the addition of new vocalist, Steve Welsh, into the fold.

Dead City Ruins are currently finishing up a massive 22 date tour across the UK and Europe supporting metal legend, and the original voice of Accept, Udo Dirkschneider of U.D.O. Dead City Ruins received the help of bassist,.
Luke Bolton of Fuck The Fitzroy Doom Scene during the UK and European tour dates.

Dead City Ruins are currently promoting their latest release ‘Never Say Die’, out now via AFM Records and Dinner For Wolves. Head to the band’s official Facebook page for further details and future tour dates.
