News : Contrive announce new album details

By on June 13, 2017

Melbourne metal twins, Paul and Andrew Haug have been hard at work on the latest Contrive release, ‘Slow Dissolve’.  A couple of months back we announced that the band would be down sizing to a two-piece. Long time bassist, Tim Stahlmann decided to stand down due to family commitments. The new Contrive two-piece have since finished up recording the new album with Vancouver, Canada based production company Young Bros. Productions, and mastering from Deluxe Mastering in Melbourne, Australia.

Contrive have since release the artwork for the upcoming album via their Facebook page. The artwork looks to be a homage to John Carpenter’s excellent 1982 sci-fi classic, The Thing. The album has yet to be given a release date, but we expect news of a release very soon.

Contrive have also release a small snippet of what to expect on the new album. Stay tuned to the band’s official Facebook page for further updates and an official album launch date. The band’s previous albums are available to stream on Sound Cloud. Click here to start streaming.
