The Sydney Rock ‘n’ Roll & Alternative Market is gearing up for its massive Christmas edition with over 100 traders on site it’s a Christmas shopping treasure trove with a huge entertainment line-up to entertain you throughout the day.

Part market, part music festival, part meeting place, Sydney Rock ‘n’ Roll & Alternative Market is one of Sydney’s most unique shopping experiences and a fabulous day out. 

You’ll find a vast array of stalls selling quality unique goods including but not limited to; rock ‘n’ roll, alternative and vintage clothing, jewellery, accessories, posters, cult DVDs, homewares, art, collectables and more plus a 
Massive Record Fair presented by Revolve Records – Erskineville and Egg Records – Newtown. Vinyl vultures can sift through more than 50,000 LPs and 45s covering 
alternative, punk, metal, rockabilly, blues, jazz, country, reggae, club, hip hop and every other genre since the dawn of rock ‘n’ roll it’s packed with bargains and rare gems. 

You’ll also find a café, bars, international food, a vintage and classic vehicle display and kids’ outdoor activities.

The Christmas edition entertainment line-up features
The Detonators: Australia’s high priests of Roots Rock ‘n’ Roll The Detonators fly in from Melbourne exclusively for the market. Their lethal combination of rockabilly, blues and early rock ‘n’ roll is simply not to be missed. The Detonators have toured to all corners of Australia, played all major blues and roots festivals more than once and have ventured into Europe with their high powered original show. Dancing shoes and drinking arms are compulsory for any good time Detonators show. 

The MorrisonsWinners of the Australian Song Writers Association Song of the Year (folk/acoustic – 2014), The Morrisons fuse Australian stories with the spirit and intensity of Americana, bluegrass, country and folk. 
With aching harmonies, driving rhythms, and virtuosic playing, The Morrisons deliver a live show of raw energy and emotion.

Cruisin’ Deuces: Born out of a love of traditional honky-tonk, western swing and rockabilly music. The Cruisin’ Deuces blend the southern twang of Telecasters with crying steel guitars and driving bass, 
bringing the sounds of Texas, Memphis and Nashville to Sydney for a hootenanny you’ll never forget.

The Drey Rollan Band: With their rockin’ vocals, explosive guitar licks and funky rhythms, Drey Rollan, Bobbie Green, Little B and Larry The Kid shape a driving energy that’s dynamic and unique. 
They’re back with their very danceable brand of rock ‘n’ roll, rockabilly, blues, doo-wop and country.

Plus – A Rockabilly Dancing Beginners Class: If you’ve always wanted to give rockabilly dancing a try, there’ll be a class for beginners at the market between 10.30am and 11.30am – with teachers Bruce Elder and Trudi Pickering.
