Having organised and also smashed it at the recent HouseFox Fest on Sydney’s northern beaches in April, Black Rheno are set to release their highly anticipated debut EP in November!
Before then, they will be hitting the road across July and August in support of the EP’s lead track, No Time For Numb Nuts which will be released in August.
Equal parts stoner, sludge, grind, punk and doom, Black Rheno’s emphasis is on a heavy groove that gets your body moving and your mind melting. Meshing it all into one epic crazy style of dirty rock n roll.
The Sydney three piece, all seasoned musicians, have pooled their resources into a super tight, very focused but ultimately monster groove based unit.
Formed in mid 2015, they wasted no time kicking up dust, touring relentlessly along the east coast, scoring airplay on Triple J and a spot on a Heavy Mag compilation along the way!
Black Rheno draw inspiration from their influences including
Red Fang, Kyuss, King Parrot, Clutch, Snot, Superjoint Ritual, Cancer Bats, Iron Reagan, Fu Manchu
Albeit with their own distinct flavour and that has seen their fanbase grow exponentially over the last 12 months.
A full national tour will be announced for the EP’s release and will see out the year in Rheno style, which is, a hell raising live show, a commanding stage presence, bone crushing anthems and one hell of a good time!
