News : Circles Announce ‘Egression’ Australia Tour For This September

By on July 20, 2016

Bouncing off the back of their successful national tour in support of Fear Factory, for their last headline shows of 2016, Melbourne’s Circles have announced the ‘Egression’ Australia tour. Joining them on the tour will be fellow Melbourne creatives, Orsome Welles, as well as multi-instrumentalist, producer, and musician, James Norbert Ivanyi; who will be appearing at the Melbourne and Sydney shows, respectively.

Amidst this news comes the reveal that Circles are currently in the process of recording their next studio album sometime in 2017. This will be the follow-up to 2013’s immensely successful, Infinitas.

Circles distinctive fusion of powerhouse progressive rhythms, soaring lead vocals, and dynamic songs have turned heads all over the world with the UK’s Metal Hammer Magazine quoting that with their
massive, bendy riffs. huge melodies. synapse-frazzling atmospherics. it’s hard to imagine what more circles could do to assert their awesomeness
Bursting on to the scene with their acclaimed debut EP, The Compass, in 2011, the band established themselves quickly through expansive touring, spreading word of their incredible live show nationwide.
Their first full length, Infinitas arrived in 2013 via the prestigious UK label Basick Records which grew their international profile exponentially.
Several European festival appearances and a Euro tour with The Dillinger Escape Plan followed which ultimately enabled them to go out across the UK and Europe on their own headline tour soon after!
Less than a year later they were back on the road in Europe once more on a 23 date tour with Monuments and After the Burial.
With most of 2015 spent incubating this highly anticipated next release, Circles have incorporated new sounds, styles and production techniques into their already forward thinking ethos, suggesting the new album will be something truly remarkable.
Following their recently completed national tour with legendary US giants Fear Factory and a sold out hometown show for their now single Sand And Wind earlier this year,
fans can expect to hear further brand new material from Circles on this tour!
Joining them for their final headline shows of 2016 will be fellow experimental, creatives, Orsome Welles.
A band that defy classification having been successfully able to merge progressive and heavy music with an early 20th century panache, pounding grooves, intricate instrumentality and raw uncaged power.
Their avant-garde live show is the perfect accompaniment to Circles own experimentation.

Appearing in Melbourne and Sydney with Circles will be multi-instrumentlist, producer and musician, James Norbert Ivanyi.
Considered by his fans, peers and industry to be one of the most original, commanding and versatile young guitarist on the scene today.
James’s technical modern metal fused with the sounds of the classic 1960’s & 70’s progressive/psychedelic rock-era have seen his fan base transcend generations and genres.
