Circles 2016

Melbourne prog-metal act Circles have just signed a deal with Melbourne based touring, bookings and management company, Wild Thing Presents. Circles now join an impressive roster which includes such Australian acts as Caligula’s HorseJack The Stripper, Chaos Divine, AlithiAOrsome WellesDyssidia, and Glass Ocean.

Coming off the back of their recent sold out show in their hometown (where they too launched their new single, “Sand and Wind”), as well as Circle’s national support slot for Fear Factory (the latter of whom’s Australia tour kicks off tomorrow night in Brisbane), the future is already looking pretty fine for the Melbourne locals.

In light of the occasion, Dave Hunter – drummer of CIRCLES – stated, “we feel very positive about the team we are building around the band. Having just signed with Bear Parts Music for management and now getting Wild Thing Presents on board for bookings, we can now put all focus into the creative process. We’re all very excited to see what we can achieve together and what the future holds for Circles.”

CIRCLES have a unique approach to modern melodic heavy music. You simply won’t hear their distinctive fusion of powerhouse progressive rhythms, soaring lead vocals and bone-crushing breakdowns anywhere else.
The band roared into international attention with the release of their acclaimed debut EP The Compass in May of 2011. That momentum shifted up yet another gear as they unleashed their almighty debut album Infinitas in late 2013. Released through prestigious UK label Basick Records, the album garnered almost unanimously positive reaction from fans and critics across the globe, lifting them into new stratospheres.

The group slayed audiences at Euroblast 2013 alongside the likes of Meshuggah, Textures, and fellow Aussie warriors Twelve Foot Ninja.
Further Australian and European tours ensued, with CIRCLES heading out on the road with heavy music luminaries such as The Dillinger Escape Plan, Monuments, and After The Burial.

With an ever-growing international audience rabidly awaiting their next move, it is now time to think about the sophomore CIRCLES opus, which is due to be released in the not too distant future.

Don’t miss Circles when they open for Fear Factory on their Australian ‘Regenerator’ tour. Kicking off tomorrow night (June 2) at The Tivoli, Brisbane, tickets are available now through Destroy All Lines.
