News : Melbourne sludge band Merchant stream first track from debut “Suzerain”

By on April 10, 2016

After a brief early listen of the debut from Melbourne “psyc drenched sludge” band Merchant, we can attest to the fact it’s an absolute monster. Suzerain may only be 4 tracks but it still reaches the 50 minute mark with “Seed & Soil”, the first track below, being the shortest.

The album was recorded at Goatsound studios (always a good sign!) with Jason Fuller and mastered at Iridium Audio by Dav Byrne (Agonhymn, YLVA), and is out on Apil 18th through Bandcamp.

There’s also the below live shows on the horizon;

April 22nd @ Music Man Megastore, Bendigo
w/ FK//DRONE, DEAD, Roundtable and Lowpoint

April 23rd @ Tote Upstairs, Melbourne
w/ Stonegrave, Dankenstein, Rust in Piss and Bush League

May 20th @ Grumpy’s, Melbourne
w/ Cement Pig & Field
Part of Good Beer Week.
