News : Stream Destroyer 666’s no-bullshit new album “Wildfire”

By on February 17, 2016

Sure they may be based over in the Netherlands now but we like to think that the mighty Destroyer 666 are still Aussie at heart. Almost 10 years on from their debut album we arrive at Wildfire, and as you can surely tell from the first few tracks released, their still the same aggressive fine form as always.

“Now ‘Wildfire’ makes a complete fist that goes straight into your face. These nine heavy hymns are made of the essence of metal. There is no core, no post, no bullshit on this album – just great hard hitting song. Each track is hammered out rough and gritty, yet at the same time they all are intelligently arranged and massive in sound.

The term “old school” applies to a point, but without any clinging to simple nostalgia. DESTRÖYER 666 have nothing in common with a bunch of kids trying to emulate the eighties, but live and breathe metal since that golden age of hard music.”

A week-ish ahead of it’s release through Season of Mist Records, below we have the Australian premiere of the new album. Get those heads banging. Local pre-orders are available through Nerve Gas.
