Download Festival, the annual British festival held at Donington Park in Leicestershire, England has been running since 2003 and has played host over the years to such massive names as Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, ZZ Top, KISS, AC/DC, Journey, Metallica, Lamb of God, Gojira, and many more.

After being held at Donington Park since 2003, Download will this year expand to France. But now, in another recent and very exciting development, Download Festival’s booker and Live Nation promoter Andy Copping has shared some intriguing tweets. The ambiguous hints elude towards the festival potentially coming to Australia.

The news was originally shared via Music Feeds (link: here) by writer Emmy Mack, who chronicled the happenings with Copping’s tweets.

They are as follows:

Nothing has been confirmed either way, but Copping promises metalheads to “watch this space” and “don’t give up hope”. Here’s hoping!
