South Australian based thrash act Alkira have released the official music video to their single “The Fleet”; from their debut album, ‘Juggernaut’ (released in 2014). Featuring an interesting animated clip, the artwork and animation work in the music video was created by local artist Brett Walter, who further co-produced the videoclip with Alkira.

Speaking about the clip, guitarist Kyle comments: “Releasing an animated clip is something we’d been discussing for a long time, so as soon as we wrote ‘The Fleet’ we knew it was ideal for it. The story of the song really lent itself to the idea, and the psychedelic visualizers complement the groove perfectly. It’s fresh whilst still keeping the traditional ALKIRA vibe and attitude”.

Whilst juggling working on ‘The Fleet’ video and their un-compromising touring schedule, ALKIRA have also been knuckling down in the jam-space to write material for a sophomore album, due for release later this year. “The next few months will see us finish up writing and pre-production for Album #2. We plan to enter the studio in July to begin recording these devastating new tracks and we’re very excited!” states Kyle.
