The Amity Affliction

Queensland’s The Amity Affliction seemingly cannot do any wrong at the moment. The recent exciting news came with their second consecutive #1 debut on the ARIA charts with their new album, ‘Let the Ocean Take Me’. The news arrives on the back on their recent Australian tour announcement with US bands Architects, Issues, and Stray From the Path, as well as Melbourne hardcore band Deez Nuts (check out our article here).

Let The Ocean Take Me follows 2012’s Chasing Ghosts which also debuted at #1 on the Australian ARIA Chart – and has since been certified gold.

Named by Alternative Press as one of 2014’s “Most Anticipated” albums, Let The Ocean Take Me features the singles, Pittsburgh (HP #28) and Don’t Lean On Me (HP #24) and was Triple J’s coveted Album Of The Week leading into release.

Known worldwide for their powerful live performances, The Amity Affliction are currently touring
Europe – including a spot at the Download Festival (along with Linkin Park, Avenged Sevenfold,
Aerosmith and more) and will complete their first headlining tour of the US in September; it will be
their second tour of the US this year. While the band make major inroads in overseas markets, most
importantly for local fans is the band’s announcement of their Australian Tour (w/Architects (U.K),
Issues (U.S.A), Stray From The Path (U.S.A) and locals Deez Nutz) to kick off in August.

From all at Metal Obsession, congratulations to The Amity Affliction on this excellent news!

‘Let the Ocean Take Me’ is out now via Roadrunner Records. Grab your copy here.
