New South Wales based extreme metal band Norse have made available their second and latest EP, ‘Pest’, for both streaming and digital download via their official bandcamp. This is Norse’s most current release since their second full-length album, 2012’s ‘All Is Mist and Fog’. The EP is currently being sold at the dirt cheap price of $5. ‘Pest’ has currently been making the rounds and receiving stellar reviews across the board from a variety of sources. Head on over to the link and check it out. It’s certainly eye-opening, I’ll say that.

‘Pest’ has been in the production stages from the past three years, having been recorded at Plaguewhore Studios between 2011 and 2014. It was further mixed by Forge (the sole instrumentalist for Norse) and mastered by Harvey O’Sullivan.

The new EP of Australian Technical Death/Black Metallers NORSE was released last Friday. “Pest” is now available at the official bandcamp page of the band for 5 Australian Dollars (about 3,45€). The EP consists of six new songs, which proove the high quality of NORSE. Comparable to their last album “All is Mist and Fog”, “Pest” received again dozens of positiv reactions from fans and press. Here is a short summary what the magazines have to say about NORSE and their new EP:

… Sometimes, bands really astonish us. 8/10 ” – Metal Temple

„... nimmt man noch das eigentümliche Songwriting und die mitunter recht abrupt wirkenden rhythmischen Sprünge hinzu, bekommt man einen recht zutreffenden Eindruck dieses Monsters, das NORSE so vollkommen unerwartet auf die Menschheit loslassen. Bitte mehr davon!“ – metal.de

…One of the most enjoyable aspects of Pest is its level of detail, which comes through in the musicianship and songwriting, but also in the vocals” – Metal Blast

… It is truly a chaotic beast that raises its ugly head with “Encoded Weakness” and finally lays it down again with “Aimless”. In between, there is half an hour of pitch black, ice cold abyss you need to cross. 7/10 ” – SBM

…this is an angry and corrosive cesspit of acidic cacophony and ire. The next album has got a lot to live up to already. 8/10 ” –The Midlandsrocks

„… Highly talented. Australia once more proves it is a leader in the Metal scene when it comes to producing innovative and interesting Metal.”– Wonderbox Metal
