News : Separatist release new single, album coming out this Friday [update: out now!]

By on February 10, 2014

Tassie’s Separatist came to an end back in 2011, when a hardware error resulting in them losing their entire new album right at the end of the recording sessions. In some exciting news, the album is finally seeing the light of day! The following is direct from their Facebook page;

“Ok, I don’t even know where to start… This moment feels like its taken a lifetime to arrive and now its here I don’t quite know what to say! I’ll give it a crack… Basically, since the band broke up in 2011 I’ve had these songs in Guitar Pro sitting on my hard drive, and its been bugging me that I have all this material I’d written that I was never going to use in another band, because that style is just not where my head is at nowadays. So I made the decision late 2011 to re-record all the lost material and release it, pay what you want, via Bandcamp. And finally after over a year of slaving away in the studio, here it is… ‘Closure’.

In addition to this, while I was recording this album, I decided also to re-record the bands first album, The Motionless Apocalypse, to try and make it sound a little better than the original one did and to fix up some of the flaws the first version held. This re-recording will be simply called ‘Motionless’.

These two albums will be available this coming Friday, February 7th, via Bandcamp. You can pay what you want, you can even download it for free if you feel so inclined, but proceeds from all paid downloads will be donated to The A21 Campaign to support the war against Human Trafficking/Sex Slavery. [UPDATE: both albums are now available from separatistdm.bandcamp.com]
