News : Win a copy of “Fix: The Ministry Movie”

By on December 16, 2013

Thanks to the guys at Siren Visual, Metal Obsession have 3x copies of “Fix”, the crazy documentary on American industrial metal heavyweights Ministry to give away.

The movie was shot during Ministry’s “Sphinctour” in 1996, on the back of their ‘Psalm 69’ album, and it documents the band at the peak of their career. It features interviews with members of Nine Inch NailsToolKornMotorhead, Melvins and many more. Frontman and founding member Al Jourgensen tried to halt its release for many years; 15 years to be exact. You will understand why once you see it.

The DVD contains a bonus CD called ‘Fix This!!!’, featuring previously unreleased music by Paul Barker with guest appearances by Chris Connelly (Revolting Cocks), Nivek Ogre (Skinny Puppy) and more.

“Take a trip with the industrial metal juggernaut Ministry in this rockumentary of epic proportions. A look into the ear shattering highs and chemically fuelled lows of the Chicago band that introduced the world to Industrial metal while self-destructing with substance abuse and general mayhem.

This candid, unfettered look at Ministry at their career peak features incredible footage of Al Jourgensen and Paul Barker with their ever-changing band mates on stage, back stage and on the road. Witness the chaos that surrounds Ministry’s music and the band itself.”

“When a movie includes a scene of a guy sticking his penis inside a roast chicken, you know there’s not much held back.” – Rolling Stone

“Are you sure Al wants this out?” – Trent Reznor, Nine Inch Nails

This competition is open to Australian/NZ residents only. To enter, all you have to do is email comp@metalobsession.net with the subject “Ministry Giveaway”, your name, address and the title of Ministry’s latest album. Competition closes on January 1st, 2014.
