News : The new Harlott song ‘Export Life’ [Premiere]
Metal Obsession are proud to give you the premiere of a new song by Melbourne thrash band Harlott, off their debut album ‘Origin’.
After two punishing EP’s since 2011, titled ‘Virus’ and ‘None’, Harlott went into Monolith Studios with Chris Themelco (Orpheus Omega) in the first half of 2013 to record their long-awaited debut album. The end result, is twelve skull-pounding, violent, superbly-produced thrash songs.
The band will be releasing ‘Origin’ on Saturday November 9 at The Bendigo Hotel, which also features Queensland’s Malakyte launching their debut album ‘Human Resonance’. Joining those two will be In Malice’s Wake, Desecrator, Party Vibez and Mason, which makes the gig title ‘The Alliance of Violence’ really live up to its name.
Check out the new song ‘Export Life’ below, as well as lyrics for the song, and artwork for the new album.
—–LYRICS—–
Grown by the number and cultured to die
Puppets in macabre recitals of life
Existence scripted for another’s profits
Playing the part they made
For corporation you contort to the mould
Not holding stock
You’re already sold
Continuation of the failure you’re in
Is this all you’re meant to be?
No
This can’t be all
Worthless without application
Hold the question why
No more
Don’t
Reject the lie
Twisted truth in a tainted story
Know
We export life
To die
Find yourself in darkness
Far from where we draw the line
An opened eye will lead you
To a truth you can’t deny
This world is slowly failing
At committing to survive
The guilty stand by watching
Waiting for the world to die
Die
Your hand is forced, your words a hollow script
So void of conscious like an open rift
Commiserations for forgotten ways
Fading and ever pale
Rising up from the disparity
To pull the plug on this society
You hold the answer yet condemn the key
Why won’t you make your stand?
No
There is no time
Complacency has gone on too long
So the people rise
But why?
Don’t
Reject the lie
Twisted truth in a tainted story
Know
We export life
To die
Find yourself in darkness
Far from where we draw the line
An opened eye will lead you
To a truth you can’t deny
This world is slowly failing
At committing to survive
The guilty stand by watching
Waiting for the world to die
Waiting for the fucking world to die
Find yourself in darkness
Far from where we draw the line
An opened eye will lead you
To a truth you can’t deny
This world is slowly failing
At committing to survive
The guilty stand by watching
Waiting for the world to die
Die
