News : TTTDC release “Greatest Hits”

By on June 17, 2013

But, no, it’s not a greatest hits album. If you’re an avid follower of Bro Fidelity Records (the home of Hotel Wrecking City Traders, Spider Goat Canyon, Fire Witch, etc), then you probably already know about TTTDC. If not, the basic summary is;

“Two down-tuned guitars, drums, and singing. Three musicians, two brothers, and a musical landscape entirely of their own creation. With each member bringing the combined experience of other long-standing Melbourne bands SOTIS, Peeping Tom and Wicked City, TTTDC’s music amounts to no less than a soundtrack for the emancipation of modern rock music; a sonic sleeping pill for tired and strung-out free thinking fans of the riff; a galactic oasis of rock n’ roll freedom. “

Having listened to this new album, that’s a pretty accurate description. Greatest Hits was recorded, instrumentally, live at the Tote Hotel in Melbourne with vocals recorded the following day, and it sounds fantastic. The live sound fits the jam-vibe of their music perfectly, and it’s essentially a guarantee that these guys are rad live.

You can grab it over on Bandcamp for a bargain price, and stream the whole thing if you want a test drive. You can also catch them live on Friday 21st June at the Old Bar in Melbourne alongside Nunchukka Superfly, Mother Mars and The Plymouth Reverends.
