News : The Nerve sign to Bird’s Robe, announce tour

By on May 6, 2013

Ignoring genre boundaries for a moment, the Sydney-based Bird’s Robe Records are by far one of our favourite labels/promoters/etc in the country. They do truly excellent work for the progressive and experimental side of things, with bands like The Red Paintings, sleepmakeswaves, Tangled Thoughts of Leaving, Toehider, Dumbsaint and more already on their roster. And now, the newest addition, is The Nerve.

“Featuring  Ezekiel Ox (Mammal, Over-Reactor), Lucius Borich (Cog, Juice, FloatingMe), Davarj Thomas (Pre-Shrunk) and virtuoso guitarist Glenn Proudfoot, the new project is the culmination of a 15-year association between friends & songwriting partners that has now come to fruition.

With their debut single ‘Witness’ already picking up airplay on Triple J and community radio nationally, the band launched their visceral live show in style last month, to a steaming full house at Melbourne’s The Espy.”

You can catch the band live at one of the following dates
