News : The band simply known as Metal announce new album

By on March 27, 2013

“Australia’s premier true, false-slaying heavy metal band” (whatever the hell that means) Metal, possibly one of the least Google-able band names ever (so, here you go) , will be releasing their debut album Proving Our Mettle on April 19th.

With track titles like “Fighting For Metal” and “Heavy Metal”, you can guess what’s coming; lots of Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and Manowar inspired classic metal, “when men were men and songs were forged with blood, sweat and steel” according to bassist and vocalist Rayzor Ray.

“Proving our Mettle is a bare-chested scream of defiance, and a rallying call to the true,”continues Rayzor. “It is our banner planted firmly in the ground and from here we standand fight. Fighting for Metal is not just a song: it’s a mission statement.”

The band are hitting Brisbane on April 6th for a show at Crowbar with Malakyte, Forests Under Construction and Rocket Train, and will be supporting Dutch symphonic metallers Epica are the Metro Theatre in Sydney on April 19th.

More shows will be announced, including a few Japanese dates, soon.
