News : Must-hear new band of the day: The Autumn League

By on February 18, 2013

Once upon a time a man called Matt Hudson played drums in a band called Ambivalence. 1998 saw them record their first full length, A Land of Myth and Magic, which was to be released through Warhead Records. Unfortunately Warehead went under, and soon after that, so did the band.

But that Matt Hudson fellow is back, and his new solo project The Autumn League is fantastic! It’s a thick, atmospheric soundscape on the melodic death metal side of things. A three track EP titled The Concept Of Irony is due out on April 17th but in the meantime you can listen to the opening track, “Hour Is At Hand” below.
