News : Malakyte lose Oompa

By on February 8, 2013

It’s always a big deal with a band loses their vocalist, and it’s no different for Malakyte. The Brissy band aren’t publicly explaining the reason behind the decision, but it is official, the band have parted ways with Oompa.

“…we’d like to let it be known we wish him no hard feelings, and we would like to thank him for is time, effort and talents he has contributed to the band over the past two years. We wish him all the best in his future endeavours.

We are hopeful that this will not affect the relationships we’ve established with all of our amazing friends and fans, and this does not by any means spell the end for Malakyte. We will be back on the live scene very soon.”

There doesn’t seem to have been any information released on what is happening as far as a replacement goes, but judging by the comment about being back on the live scene soon, it’s fair enough to assume that a choice has already been made.
