Lineup announced for the Australian edition of Obscene Extreme festival have been trickling down over on their Facebook page one band at a time. The lineup for the two-day festival, held at both the Tote and Bendigo Hotel on April 12th &13th, is already shaping up to be something rather intense.

Here is the lineup so far, we’ll keep the post updated as more bands are announced.

Rotten Sound (FIN) – “Making their explosive Australian debut, Finnish grinders Rotten Sound make a powerful claim to the crown laid down by Sweden’s grind pioneers – frontman Keijo Niinimaa even fronted the reunited Nasum for their 20th anniversary tour in 2012.”

Sete Star Sept (JAP) – “They are masters of playing blasts of noisy grind, combining the deadliest elements of fastcore and harsh noise. Their songs assault you with loud noise, blast beats, noisegrind bass guitar attacks, and screams: all with a nihilistic, careless punk attitude that really fits with the music.”

Blood Duster (AUS) – “Best band ever.”

Captain Cleanoff (AUS) – “With gutteral vocals, brutal blast beats and classic riffing not matched in the current state of mere imitators, Cleanoff are tearing new assholes for those that fake it. This is real fucking grindcore.”

The Day Everything Became Nothing (AUS) – “You will be unable to resist their disgustingly downtuned disgorgements, gigantic goregrind grooves and sloppy floppy pornosewage drumming.”

Kromosom (AUS) – “Kings of the Melbourne D-Beat, Kromosom are mixing old school chaotic noise core with the punk ethos to create a genre defiling mess of molten crust.”

Intense Hammer Rage (AUS) – “Hailing from the land of sister fuckers Intense Hammer Rage will bring to OEF their very own extreme and obscene form of grind, with a heavy mix of death and gore with multiple vocalists and slamming Tasmanian pervert riffage like no other.”

The Kill (AUS) – “The reigning kings of Australian grind “the Kill” are like a relentless brick smashing you in the face. They Manage to blend old school grindcore with thrashing technical riffery while combining ultra fast drumming and raw cut throat vocals into a sound that is ear shredding, brutal and entirely original.”

Wolfe (AUS) – “Misanthropic grindcore of epic earth destroying proportions, Wölfe are not only the soundtrack to the apocalypse they are active participants willing it into being with total chaotic grind of a previously unheard and unhinged ferocity.”

Split Teeth (AUS) – “Melbourne’s Split Teeth deliver short bursts of chaotic fastcore influenced by classic 80s punk that is infused with a healthy dose of feedback and powerviolence breakdowns.”

Flatus (AUS) – “Originally formed for a special one-off performance at a grindcore festival in Western Australia, this malodorous tribute act features a putrid smelling line up of four of the WA metal scene’s favourite miscreants exhuming and pillaging some of the choicest cuts from Carcass ’ first two albums, “Reek Of Putrefaction & Symphonies Of Sickness”

The Mung (AUS) – “Melbourne based outfit who described themselves as “Southern gore slam”, we think they are more like a grinding shit fight with fierce breakdowns in retarded drug haze.”

King Parrot (AUS) – …”are here to shit on your liver as they defy genres with a cross section atomic assault built with layers of thrash, grind, punk and hardcore and backed up with a brutally entertaining live show.”
