News : Serious Beak release Huxwhukw remix album (free download)

By on May 14, 2012

November 2011 saw Sydney’s Serious Beak release their debut album Huxwhukw which we fucking loved, and judging from the reviews elsewhere, so did a lot of other people. A while back, the band put out the call for people to remix, rework and transform the album tracks into something new. After receiving dozens of submissions from around the world, the band have put together their favourite ten tracks into a digital-only album; Huxwhukw and the Crooked Beak of Heaven remixes.

The album ranges from electronica to industrial metal to shoegaze and country music, and features submissions from Alex Wilson of sleepmakeswaves, Nick Soole of Slimey Things, Dylan Mitrovich of Breaking Orbit and  a whole bunch of others.

And to top it all off, the album is available for free download over at the Art As Catharsis bandcamp page. Some of the tracks that didn’t make the final cut have also been put online over at Soundcloud.
