News : Quiet Child sign to Welkin Entertainment, announce tour dates

By on March 4, 2012

Press release:

Adelaide based 4-piece band Quiet Child is pleased to announce they are hitting the road in March/April this year for their Argument from Design Tour – showcasing yet to be released songs from their much anticipated 3rd album along with a selection of tunes from their 2011 release “Thumper”.
2011 was a big year for Quiet Child – touring nationally in support of their second album “Thumper”, and sharing the stage with Floating Me and A Thousand Needles in Red. To top of a successful year, Quiet Child was hand picked in December as the single national tour support for Swedish metal/prog kings Opeth– one of the biggest tour supports of the year. Quiet Child made an impact, with reviews commenting on a “…jaw dropping performance” (fasterlouder.com.au) and “..one of the greatest receptions to an opening act this year” (the 59thsound.com).

Following this up in 2012, The Argument From Design Tour sees Quiet Child returning to Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney and Brisbane in March and April, keen to indulge new fans with a full length set of now epic reputation.

This tour continues Quiet Child’s ascending presence in the Australian Prog scene and marks the beginning of their signing with booking agent “Welkin Entertainment” – organisers of the highly respected “Progfest” touring festival. This relationship has 2012 shaping up to be a massive year for Quiet Child as they look forward to a busy touring schedule.

Fans of both the heavy and softer spectrums of progressive rock, metal and alternative music alike should not miss the opportunity to experience Quiet Child.

“They’re not lost. They destroyed everyone.”
