News : Inquisition (USA) playing one-off Melbourne show

By on February 9, 2012

As you may or may not, US band Inquisition are heading to Australia in June to headline the absolutely monstrous Evil Invaders IV festival; other bands including Hobbs Angel of Death, Astriaal, Stargazer, Mournful Congregation and the list goes on. Three day tickets for that festival are sold out, but there are still tickets for the Saturday show available at the Coffins Slave store.

In the latest piece of news, and due to popular demand, Inquisition are heading down to Melbourne for one side show. They’ll be playing alongside Vomitor and Thrall at the Bendigo Hotel in Collingwood, on Sunday June 10th. The frightening thing though, is that there are only 200 tickets available. This will sell out, very quickly, so if you’re interested then head over to the previously mentioned Coffins Slave store and grab your ticket ASAP.

INQUISITION – Originating in Colombia in 1988 and originally a Thrash Metal act. Since their 1998 Opus “Into the Infernal Legions of the Ancient Cult” INQUISITION has been at the forefront of US Black Metal and is one of the most respected and significant bands in Black Metal today. With a total of 5 critically acclaimed full lengths and a fanatical following spanning across the globe, their latest album “Ominous Doctrines of the Perpetual Mystical Macrocosm” has further cemented their legacy.

INQUISITION’S signature sound is best described as an amalgamation of ritualistic, contemplative and majestic riffing, folkish lead melodies combined with pummelling and chaotic Black Metal.

This event will see their first appearance on Australian soil after touring the world with a reputation as one of the most enthralling and captivating live acts in Metal today.”
