Press release:

Whiplash Festival makes its inaugural trek down to Canberra on the 13th of November…

With local bands selling presales like wildfire the organisers and bands that will be taking the stage on the 12th of November at the Basement are gearing up for one “hell of a day”.

We are proud to announce the inclusion on the festivals lineup some of the hardest working up-and-coming Australian bands. Amongst them; Norse, Mad Charlie, Hemina, Dawn Heist, Humonic, Engage the Fall, Devine Electric, Nekrofeist, Katabasis, and that’s just to start with.

We are also proud to announce the inclusion of Flaming Arts rostered act; Blind Image, who fresh off their support slot with world-renowned Cradle of Filth are making the move to conquer the east coast of Australia in the month of November.

Unfortunately, touring doesn’t come without it’s set of challenges. In saying that, we are forced to regretfully inform you that traditional metal quartet; Taberah, hailing from the cold southern land of Tasmania have had to pull out of their Whiplash slot.

This was issued from their management :
“Due to unforseen circumstances Taberah have regrettably had to withdraw from the Canberra Whiplash Festival on Nov 12th. Taberah apologises for any inconvenience caused and promises to make it up to their Canberra fans early in the new year. Until then stay Metal!”
