News : The first few details of The Amenta’s next album

By on October 31, 2011

Here’s some news that we’re definitely excited about; the first few details of The Amenta’s upcoming album. The follow-up to 2008’s n0n (and the subsequent V01D EP), has been given the working title Flesh Is Heir is apparently a combination of their previous sounds, “featuring the aggressive riffing of the Ocassus album and the ambient electronic descruction of n0n”. New vocalist Cain Cressall (who is an absolute must-experience in the live setting) “also introduces a new eeriness”.

“Lyrically, ‘Flesh is Heir’ deals with the two warring sides of the human psyche: The Obliterate (the part of the human that seeks to escape worldly woes by destroying the concept of self) and The Realist ( the part that embraces pain, seeing it as a challenge, the meeting of which creates a better human).”

Ego Ergo Sum”, “Flesh is Heir”, “Cell” and “Teeth” have been listed as working titles for the album, which is due out in early 2012.

Also don’t forget, that their V01D EP is still available for free download over at www.theamenta.com
