News : New Mournful Congregation music online

By on October 18, 2011

As the release of The Book of Kings draws closer, South Australian funeral doom geniuses Mournful Congregation have finally given us a real taste of what’s the come. “The Waterless Streams” is the first publicly obtainable hymn from what is their fourth full length release. The twelve minute track is only a fraction of the eighty minute beast that’s coming, but it is most definitely hinting at something great. You can give it a listen over at Brooklyn Vegan (now there’s a site we never thought we’d be linking you to…).

The band are embarking on their first North American tour to celebrate the launch of the release, with a nine-date tour down featuring bands such as Vastrum, Brainoil, Samothrace, Laudanum and an appearance at the massive Rites of Darkness III festival alongside Loss, Urfaust, Stargazer, Zemial and a whole heap more. But the important part is; yes, the band are playing a local show as well. Details for the US shows are below, details for the Australian show are on the flyer.
