News : Thrall set to release “Vermin to the Earth”

By on September 8, 2011

October 25th has been set at the release date for Vermin to the Earth, the second full length from Tasmanian black metal band Thrall. The follow-up to Away From The Haunts of Men will be released through Obsidian Records in Australia, and worldwide through Moribund Cult Records.

“Vermin to the Earth is a requiem to a cursed species,” states Tom Void, guitarist and vocalist for Thrall.  “It documents the metamorphosis of Thrall from a studio project to a live entity. Thrall’s live set for the last two years was mostly comprised of songs from Vermin.”

“We are also really energised to have an Australian label getting behind us for this release” states Void.  “Obsidian have bridged the gap between underground authenticity and accessibility and will distribute Vermin through JB Hi-Fi.””

To celebrate the launch of the release, the band will be play a couple of shows with New Zealand’s Creeping, as well as a later show in their home town. Full show details are over at www.thrallofvoid.com or in our gig guides.
