News : Dawn of Retribution announce last ever show

By on September 8, 2011

Press release:

Saturday 22 October at the Barwon Club in Geelong has been locked in as the night Dawn of Retribution play their final show ever. It’s been an amazing four years for us, but its time to lay this beast to rest. The last show for Dawn of Retribution ever will be held on home soil, at the venue (the Barwon Club, Geelong) we have called home since the inception of the band. Cover charge is a mere $8 at the door, and the show will kick off at 8pm with first band on around 8:30pm.

Headlining the party to end all parties will be Melbourne’s best party band in history – Electrik Dynamite. Following a Dawn of Retribution set has always been a challenge for other bands, but the ED crew are well prepared for the task and are guaranteed to end the night on the highest of notes.

Also joining the party are our amazing, thrashing, beer swilling friends in Desecrator. These guys have torn Australia apart on two recent national tours as part of ‘The Thrashening Oceanic Assault’ with In Malice’s Wake, and also supporting Bay Area legends Forbidden on their Australian tour this year. Definitely NOT to be missed.

Opening the night will be the melodic, technical and soulful shredding of Dark Earth. Stalwarts of the metal scene having been around nearly a decade now, their hiatus from the scene in the mid-2000’s meant a lack of true quality melodic death metal done the way it should be done.

So make the trip to Geelong if you aren’t a local, stuff some beers in your face and have yourself a killer night along with the rest of us, and let’s sign off the legacy of Dawn of Retribution with a night to be spoken about for years to come!!
