News : Soundwave 2012: the lineup so far

By on August 22, 2011

Just like usual, it’s tough to keep track of who has been announced so far. Unless you’re watching festival organiser AJ’s every tweet, then chances are you missed some of these. While we assume there won’t be a proper SW12 lineup announcement until around the time the now cancelled Soundwave Revolution was supposed to be held (and where it was planned to announce SW12), here are the bands that are confirmed already (according to varying internet sources):

Trivium
The Smoking Hearts
Shadows Fall
Devin Townsend
CKY
Forver The Sickest Kids
Gojira
Hellyeah
Madina Lake
The Used
Black Veil Brides
The Dillinger Escape Plan
Hatebreed
Machine Head
Hole
Sisters of Mercy
Framing Hanley
Dashboard Confessional
Danzig
(possibly)

Brisbane: 25th Feb
Sydney: 26th Feb
Melbourne: 2nd March
Adelaide: 3rd March
Perth: 5th March

For those that missed the other Soundwave news: Whitechapel and Watain are likely to be doing a double headline tour, while Panic! At The Disco, All Time Low, Yellowcard, Story of the Year, Face to Face, The Damned Things, Set Your Goals, Funeral For A Friend, Hellogoodbye, D.R.U.G.S, The Pretty Reckless, Young Guns, This Providence, Go Radio, Make Do And Mend, Alesana, The Swellers, We Are The In Crowd and Terrible Things are all performing at the replacement Counter Revolution mini-festivals. For the details on those events, head over to the Soundwave Revolution Facebook page.
