News : Soundwave Revolution cancelled

By on August 9, 2011

Today Steel Panther’s Stix Zadinia said it, and festival promoter AJ Maddah confirmed it: Soundwave Revolution has been scrapped before it begun.

The festival as we know it has been cancelled. We were scheduled to make a second announcement on the first of August – we had our festival co-headliner on that announcement… Their circumstances changed at the last minute and they had to pull out and unfortunately we don’t have enough time to replace them and we didn’t really want to go ahead with an incomplete line-up.

The festival boasted a lineup including heavyweights such as Van Halen and Alice Cooper, alongside more obscure metal bands such as Kvelertak and Watain.

“A lot of those bands are still coming and we are, you know, creating packages and what have you for them to (play) in clubs and other venues.”

The festival was scheduled to take place from 24th of September through till 3rd of October in 5 cities, however ever until an official word is written, only time will tell! Full details on ticket refunds and rescheduled dates to follow…
