News : Metal Obsession in Europe 2011

Since 2009, Metal Obsession has been trekking across some of Europe’s most amazing countrysides and pristine cityscapes to take part in some of the continent’s most heavily influential metal festivals. Last year Metal Obsession traveled too Wacken Open Air, Metal Camp and Summer Breeze, among many others. We bare witnessed to some of the most amazing bands, people and alcohol ever conceived…and we will be doing it all again in 2011.

Thanks to the fine people at Wacken Open Air and Summer Breeze, Metal Obsession will once again be bringing you all the updates and shenanigans of a very short, but very fulfilling metal festival run later this August.

 

Summer Breeze – Dinkelsbuehl 18 – 20.08.2011

Situated in the heart of the Bavarian countryside, Summer Breeze offers a great line up, spanning across an amazing 3 days. Starting back in 1997, Summer Breeze has played host to some of the worlds most amazing heavy metal bands including Dark Funeral, Rage, Arch Enemy, Morbid Angel, Primal Fear and many more.

In 2011 we will bare witness to an amazing line up consisting of HammerFall, Sodom, Kalmah, Hatebreed, Decapitated and a plethora of many more amazing bands.

Wacken Open Air 03 – 08.08.2011

Wacken is one of the oldest and most respected heavy metal festival’s in Europe, and essentially across the entire planet. Spanning just over two decades, this long running festival has been host to some of the biggest names in metal. Showcasing the biggest sound, the biggest stages and the biggest crowds.

Major headliners this year include Ozzy Osbourne, Judas Priest, Motorhead, Blind Guardian and Tobias Sammet’s Avantasia.
