By on January 13, 2011

Press release:

Queensland needs our money. And they need it now. With many of Adelaide’s metal / hard rock bands having close ties to Brisbane and their bands, it’s only fitting that these bands come together and throw one all mighty fundraiser for the people of Queensland. On January the 28th, Adelaide bands Double Dragon, Se Bon Kira, Tzun Tzu, Altars, Orphans Of The Sky, From Birth To Burial and Chaos Burning are getting together at Fowlers Live in the hope of raising as much money as feasibly possible to help our brothers and sisters in Queensland in this time of need. Entry is a measly $10 with ALL PROCEEDS going towards the QLD Flood Appeal (www.qld.gov.au/floods/donate ).

Double Dragon drummer Liam Weedall comments “Please people, dig deep and donate what ever you can to Qld Flood Appeal. We urge other bands to do what they can to raise some money for Queensland, they need every cent they can get!” During the night there will be various collection tins in the venue, as well as door prizes from Eclectic Photography who are organizing a raffle on the night with the winner receiving a professional band photo shoot. Many thanks to Rip It Up Magazine, Fowlers Live, Take Heed Design and Eclectic Photography for getting behind such a worthy cause, any other Adelaide business wishing to donate or contribute please contact Lee Gardiner, leroydragon(at)gmail.com
