News : Black Mass updates and sort-of-replacement show

By on November 23, 2010

As I’m sure you read, the (quite awesome) NSW Black Mass festival featuring a stack of Australian’s top shelf black metal bands was cancelled due to a few letters from religious groups (which you can read all about here, if you missed it). And while the whole situation is quite shite for those of you who had already purchased flights to Sydney, there will still be a slice of black metal waiting for you. While there is no full festival replacement, Wardaemonic, Sanguinary Misanthropia, Erebus Enthroned, Spire and Order of Orias will be hitting the Lewisham Hotel on the same night. As far as the other Black Mass bands; Nazxul, Astriaal and Drowning the Light will apparently be making their way to Sydney in early 2011.

Refunds for the Black Mass festival tickets should have started rolling out yesterday, so if you don’t have yours in a week or so, chuck an email to seancerecords(at)hotmail(dot)com.
