News : 2010 ‘Heavy Metal’ ARIA award nominations announced

In what is seen as a win for the public acceptance (or at least tolerance) of our beautiful genre of heavy metal, organisers of the 2010 ARIA Awards have announced the nominations for the inaugural ‘Hard Rock/Heavy Metal Album’ ARIA, set to be awarded at a ceremony on November 7th in Sydney.

After years of calling for recognition of Australian healthy underground metal scene by ARIA, 2010’s awards see the following bands up for judgement by a a panel of ‘peers’ from the Australian music scene.
