News : Voyager playing at Prog Power USA, part from label

By on September 15, 2010

In quite a large announcement from Perth’s Voyager, the band have announced a label departure, US tour, European booking news, and some local shows.

On US soil, Voyager have been chosen to play at the prestigious Prog Popwer USA 2011 in Atlanta, Georgia alongside Mob Rules, Dream Evil, Therion and many more. Selling out far in advance every year, this is a fantastic opportunity for the band to make their mark internationally. And of course, a string of their own US shows are still to be announced.

Over in Europe, the band have announced a partnership with Avocado Booking Europe, who’s roster includes Psycroptic, Parkway Drive and a stack of international acts. Needless to say, that probably means the band will be hitting Europe next year as well.

In the business side of things, after lengthy negotiations, Voyager have parted ways with label Dockyard Records, who released their past two albums. The band have gained full ownership and rights to the masters and licenses relating to the releases, and will soon be on the search for a new label.

Back home, a new show over in Perth has been announced, and the band will soon be making their way over east for a few shows in NSW;
