News : Adrift For Days set to release 'The Lunar Maria'

By on August 2, 2010

August 5th will see the release of ‘the epic 71 minute ‘The Lunar Maria’, the latest album from Sydney psychedelic doom band Adrift For Days.

“‘The Lunar Maria’ is inspired by numerous groups such as Neurosis, Electric Wizard, Weedeater, Alice in Chains, Down, Om, Jimi Hendrix and Pink Floyd and features previous members of several Sydney bands including Ebolie, Intrepid, The Captains Package and Kill A Celebrity. Recording took place at The Brain Studios with additional recording, mixing and mastering completed by Tim Carr at 301 Studios.”

The digipak will be available for a measly $15 through http://www.myspace.com/adriftfordays . And for those weirdos out there who would, for some unexplainable reason, prefer just a digital download, then it will be on iTunes as well.

Those of you who reside in Sydney can catch the album launch show featuring Agonhymn, Summonus and Bad Voodoo at Carnage (Empire Hotel, King’s Cross) on August 6th.
