News : All That Remains and The Sword playing Soundwave 2011

By on July 21, 2010

As some of you might already know, Soundwave have been announcing artists one by one over the past couple of weeks and while most of the bands listed so far probably won’t interest you at all, two of them might. The first two metal bands to be announced for the festival are melodeath/metalcore band All That Remains and stoner rock/metal band The Sword, both from the USA.

While they aren’t exactly the most exciting announcements, there are undoubtedly many more to come considering last year’s festival included Anvil, Meshuggah, ISIS, Anthrax, Baroness and the confusingly popular Trivium.

According to Soundwave, the band headlining the metal stage is actually big enough to headline the whole festival. We’ll know who that is on August 5th, when the full lineup is announced.

The full list of bands announced so far is:
The Blackout
The Ataris
Trash Talk
All That Remains
Less Than Jake
Veara
There for Tomorrow
A Skylit Drive
Mad Caddies
Protest the Hero
The Sword
