News : A really awesome show happening this weekend

By on July 7, 2010

Just a friendly reminder that one of the first shows organised by us here at Metal Obsession is coming up this Friday night! Thrashers In Malice’s Wake will headline the show featuring Sydney death metallers Anno Domini on their first trip down south, as well as A Million Dead Birds Laughing, Obsidieth and the awesome Okera.

For those who enjoy a good dose of thrash, In Malice’s Wake are offering free copies of their latest album “Eternal Nightfall” (which we gave a whopping 10/10 back when we reviewed it) to those who get there early enough and ask for one at the door. You can read that review via this handy link and our review of the brand spanking new Anno Domini album here.

“Death doom band Okera, who are quickly becoming a local favourite with only a few shows under their belt, will be kicking off the night on the strongest note possible; not a band that any Opeth fans will want to miss. Obsidieth will be bringing a touch of folk to the lineup with their keyboard-heavy style of melodic death metal, while A Million Dead Birds Laughing will kick things up a notch with their unique, quirky blend of grind and death. Sydney’s Anno Dominiwill make their first trek down south to launch their massive new album ‘Atrocities’ with equal parts brutality and atmosphere, and In Malice’s Wake (quite easily one of the top thrash bands in the country) are sure to top things off in the awesome form fans have come to expect from their live show.”

July 9th @ Central Club, Richmond.
Doors at 7:30pm, $15 entry.
