News : 4arm album launch details and video clip

By on April 25, 2010

Noise Bar gig 14th MayMelbourne’s 4arm will be bringing their brand of groove metal to the Noise Bar next month to launch their (quite awesome) new full length ‘The Empires of Death’. Death Audio, Plague Black and Decrepit Sun will be joining them on the night, at Brunswick’s Noise Bar.

“In a somewhat similar manner to Pantera, 4arm alternate between thrash ferocity and stoner grooves, with a fairly good balance all the way through. “Lead The Way” has a chorus that Down fans will go nuts over while the earlier half of “Peace In Hate” heads into Machine Headterritory. You’ll find hints of Electric Wizard and Orange Goblin when things slow down again, and Motorhead and Anthrax when it speeds back up again. Each end of the spectrum complements the other well here, and the band seamlessly blend the two with ease.”

The band have also recently released a video clip for the track “Carnal” which you can view, unsurprisingly, on youtube.

If you still haven’t quite made up your mind on whether to attend or not, every person through the door will go in the draw to win tickets to the (not yet officially announced) Metallica show in November.
