News : Wardaemonic and Mhorgl announce double album launch

By on March 31, 2010
Perth-based black metal bands Wardaemonic and Mhorgl are joining forces to launch their new albums. The two bands will hit the stage with support from Naetu and Nails Of Imposition at the Civic Hotel, Perth, on May 15th.

‘Echoes of Ageless Flames’ is the long awaited second dark opus by the morbid and obscure minds of Wardaemonic. The follow up to ‘Through the Dank pale Gravelands’ takes black metal to a vast escape through haunting, ghoulish and bleak realms to conjure up incarnate visions of suicide, death and dark worship. 11 tracks of pure fucking black metal.

‘Antinomian’, the second album from Mhorgl is a focused and devastating musical assault inspired by the dark energy and raw sounds of traditional black metal masters such as Darkthronw, Gorgoroth, Bathory and Venom but with a modern feel and production values. Utilising the solid and relentless battery associated with the black metal genre as a foundation, Mhorgl seek to push the boundaries of the style with unusual song structures and harmonies punctuated by savage lead guitar work.
