Melbourne’s Decrepit Sun has given an update on the recording of their debut album:

Hey Guys,

been a while since weve updated on the upcoming album.

As in previous posts we have set aside 2009 for recording and re-establishing our sound for the the album and so far its proved a heavy evolution! The music and band has gone from an idea we already had honed on aggressive and powerful ideals and now far beyhond what we could have imagined – in short, we think it’s ‘the shit!’.

Check out ‘Drunker Than You’ on the myspace for an idea of whats to come, will be posting another new track ‘Faithless’ in the coming days.

Currently about 3 quarters of the way through with some final overdubbing and mixing/mastering set to nail it in.
At this stage we are confident for a may 2010 release – more on that to follow.

Recording at Reich(Melbourne) Records has proved a steady source of inspiration and debauched experimentation, big thanks to Ren Reich for his work so far. Also to the ‘surprise’ guests from some of our buds, namingly Strict Vincent.

We assure that this will be loud, angry, VIOLENT and AGGRESSIVE! and look forward to jumping around like amphetamonkies soon!
