News : Taberah live…ish

By on November 25, 2009

Tasmania’s Taberah have released the cover art and details of their new “LIVE…ish” EP.

“LIVE…ish is Taberah stripped down and in it’s most natural form. No big expensive studios, flashy audio gear or computer wizardry to be found.

On the weekend of September 12th & 13th we made the venture to the remote North West of the state to the town of Deloraine, winner of the 1995 “State Tidy Towns” award and home to a rather nice craft fair. The sole aim of the trip was to create a release that we could all be proud of and to have as much fun as possible while doing so. The result was LIVE…ish

Want 3 amps and a drumkit on a stage in the middle of nowhere? For Sure!
Want microphones falling off their stands mid-song? Yeah, why not!
Want an empty theatre with a creeky stage and an uneven drum riser? Who wouldn’t!
Want PURE Heavy Metal played with intense passion and heart? DEFINITELY!!!!!
Well this is exactly what LIVE…ish delivers.” – Taberah Myspace

The track listing is:
1. Brothers of the Fire
2. The Call of Evil
3. Stormchild
4. Freedom or Death
5. The Reaper
6. Crazy Little Thing Called Love (Queen cover)

The EP will be released on December 5th at their show at the Brisbane Hotel (which is actually in Hobart) alongside Lord. If you want to grab the album, the band are offering a few special deals at the show including the EP and a shirt for only $20, and the first 10 people to buy the EP wearing a Taberah shirt get a 25% discount. From December 7th, the EP will be available from their Myspace, the band, or at various currently unannounced record stores.
