Australia’s Lord Tim of DUNGEON and LORD fame is currently selling his custom made Fryer Hybrid IV guitar which was used on numerous Dungeon releases and tours. An auction is currently underway on eBay for this piece of Australian heavy metal history.

This is Lord Tim’s custom Fryer “Hybrid IV” guitar, as used on every Dungeon album, and every LORD album up until 2008’s Hear No Evil EP when he switched to ESP Guitars. This guitar has traveled around the world, and was used during supports with Megadeth, Saxon, Nightwish, Queensryche and many more.

SPECIFICATIONS

Mahogany body, Maple neck, Rosewood fingerboard, custom mother-of-pearl “Lord Tim” inlays, custom artwork based on the original “The Legend Of Huma” novel art, Jackson J90c bridge pickup, Seymour Duncan Hot Rails neck pickup, 22 jumbo frets, Kahler “Steeler” 2600 bridge locking nut with string director, custom switch configuration that features coil taps for each pick up and a phase reversal switch.

CONDITION

Apart from the occasional chipped paint especially on the sharp edges and some parts of the neck, this guitar is still a very playable performance instrument with the following problems: The frets are fairly worn and could do with a service, the bridge is very worn and corroded, the Jackson J90c is corroded and the output is far lower than it should be sending out. All of these problems are explained in detail in the video below.

This guitar will be sold with a Warwick RockBag case. If at all possible, LT would also like to contact the buyer of the guitar to obtain measurements should he get a replica built by ESP sometime in the future. Pick up preferred but will post world-wide to the successful bidder.
