News : Toehider to release 12 EP's in 12 months

By on May 12, 2009

From May 2009 to April 2010, independent Australian rock musician Michael Mills’ Toehider project will release one 6-song digital EP per month for 12 months. Each release will be accompanied by a two-page comic illustrated by Brisbane artist Andrew ‘Salty’ Saltmarsh. The EPs will be streamed in their entirety on the Toehider website for free, and made available as paid, high-quality digital downloads with included artwork. Michael and Salty will be blogging about their adventures on the Toehider website at www.toehider.com/12in12

The first EP has already been put online and is available for free from the website. “Children of the Sea” is a collection of covers of 1980’s cartoon theme songs.

“This collection of music is a celebration of cartoon theme music from the 1980s. Toehider makes no claim for writing this music, and is not intending to make money from it. Toehider urges you all to check out these fine cartoons, and hopes you gain as much inspiration and entertainment as Toehider does.”
