News : Lord to perform two impromptu unplugged sets

By on April 18, 2009

Due to TY (drums) having sustained some back injuries, Lord will be doing a few impromptu ‘unplugged’ sets on their tour while he recovers. Tonight’s show in Goulborn and tomorrow’s show in Wagga Wagga will be performed acoustically. The following is a message posted on the band’s forums, on behalf of the band:

“The guys don’t want to cancel the shows and let everybody down who has travelled or been looking forward to seeing LORD, including people they know have come from Sydney and Canberra (and of course, the other bands on the bills)! So, this afternoon the other three guys have gone out, bought a pair of acoustic guitars (LT says, a red one to go fast and a black one to be classy), and are working on an unplugged version of the set. They say they’ve never done anything like this before and, as I type this, they are sitting in a hotel room trying to work out what the hell they are doing; so, be it awesome or disastrous, it should be… nonetheless… memorable.”

The following are the two mentioned gigs:

18th April 2009
Lord @ Tattersall Hotel, Goulborn
w/ Reign of Terror, Stigmata and Tortured
Tickets available at the door 8pm, $10.

19th April 2009
Lord @ The Bass Bar, Wagga Wagga
w/ Leicohtica and Lust
Tickets available at the door 2pm, $10.

There are still many, many more gigs coming up in the bands huge Australian tour so make sure to check out our gig guides to see when they’ll be hitting your city.
