News : An indefinite end for Phalanx

By on August 20, 2008

Brisbane-based progressive death metal band Phalanx are on hiatus after two of their members decided to leave the band. It was recently announced that Nic (guitars) left the band however a replacement was found.

“Nic recently decided to call it a day.

We are all on very good terms and wish him the best of luck for his future musical ventures. We also sincerely thank Nic for all the hard work, time and money he has put into Phalanx to get the band where it is today. Cheers mate

In other news we welcome the skilled and stunningly attractive Reid Morris (Into the Ocean lead guitarist) to the band! We are excited to see where this recent addition to the line up will take us.

Peace

-Chris”

Only two days later, and it has been announced that Roma (guitars/backing vocals) has decided to leave the band as well. Phalanx are now on hiatus pending a final decision on what will happen to the band.

“Roma calls it a day too

We regret to inform that Roma, suprisingly to us, decided to quit the band yesterday in pursuit of other musical aspirations. We have really enjoyed collaborating with such a fantastic musician and we wish him all the best in his future musical endeavours.

At this point we all calling an indefinite end to Phalanx. Perhaps taking a month off and considering our options.

Cheers

-Chris”
